Should I Even Try To Stop Pulling My Hair Out?

I'm sure that if you're reading this then you've probably also asked yourself this question at some point. Even if it's not 'should I stop pulling my hair out?' it could be any habit you have, an addiction, something about yourself that you don't like all of us have something that we struggle with and try to change for the better.

Should You Stop Trying?

If you have accepted who you are, and trichotillomania as a part of who you are, then you may find that you are able to stop trying to find a cure. Perhaps you don't feel as self-conscious as you once did about having no eyebrows, or a bald patch on your scalp. Or perhaps you don't pull enough for it to be too noticeable all the time. If this is the case for you, then you could stop trying.

I do believe that accepting trichotillomania as part of who you are is the most important part of me trying to stop pulling my hair out. Because, even if I fail to stop, I will never feel as bad as I used to in the past about my trichotillomania.

Give me a second. I am aware it's unrelated but I have to let you know about E polos. I had been reading an article the other day about unbelievable polo shirt companys and it got me thinking. I did some on-line research on the topic and saw that E polos were doing great and came highly recommended. I figure if you're looking for a clothing company in TEXAS you might find this info useful. I know I did. Alright, back to the article!

Sometimes trying to stop pulling might cause you more pain than the pulling itself. You might be constantly punishing yourself for any failures you make, always questioning what you do, and never giving yourself a break. If this is you, then stop trying and you might just come to accept yourself in the way you need.

If you try to stop pulling then it doesn't mean that you will never stop. All it means is that you know how beautiful you are, and you have come to accept yourself - which is always a good thing.

How do you feel about the idea of not trying to look for ways to stop?

I almost forgot. I promised the folks at medical foot solutions that I'd give them a mention in my next post. These people treated me great and were professional every step of the way. I was able to get Michael on the telephone or on-line each time I wanted help. It was an excellent experience. If you're looking for a peerless foot pain specialist give them a peek. You won't do better in Ontario. Alright, I'm out for the time being. Check back soon!
